What are your check in and check out times?
Our check in time is 3.30pm and our checkout time is 12pm.
D you have live entertainment?
We have live music from local musicians and bands every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm. During summer we also have live music on Sunday afternoons. You can find details of all events on our events page in the main menu.
Are dogs allowed?
We are dog friendly and all well behaved dogs are welcome throughout the hotel including the rooms and the restaurant. (Awarded Best Dog Friendly Hotel in Scotland in 2020).
Do you have parking?
There is a small private hotel carpark and there is plentiful parking available surrounding the hotel. The entrance to the hotel carpark is in Church Square where Inveraray Jail is situated.
Do you have wheelchair access?
Our restaurant has wheelchair access. At the moment we do not have any accommodation has wheelchair access.
Is Breakfast Included?
A full breakfast is included. The menu can be seen here.
When is The Garden Bar open?
The Garden Bar is our outdoor bar which is open from the beginning of April to the end of September. We have heated and covered areas however opening times can very occassionally be subject to weather conditions e.g. if there are heavy winds. If The Garden is closed due to weather conditions, you are welcome to enjoy a drink or food in the pub, restaurant, cocktail bar or terrace.
Can we add a bed for our child?
You can add a cost or extra bed to your room for your child, we only charge for the extra linen cleaning costs.
An extra bed is available upon request for £12.50 per night per child (3+ years) or cot (0-2 years) for £10 per night, per child.
Terms and Conditions
Cancellations
Deposits are refundable up to 96 hours prior to the booking date.
If cancelled within the 96 hour period, we will still refund if the room is resold.
If unsold then we reserve the right to take full payment for the first night of your stay.
Guarantee Policy
Full payment is required at time of booking with a valid credit card is required.
Change of Booking
Rates are subject to change & we reserve the right to change your accommodation should we need to. Except where special arrangements have been made with us, specific suite or room names or numbers are not provided to you prior to your arrival. Update: You can now book the Library Suite or The Merchant's suite specifically.
Offers
You can find our current offers on the offers page. Offers at The George are subject to availability and promotions apply to new bookings only.
Families
We are family friendly. Cots or sofa beds can be arranged in certain rooms at a small additional charge.
Smoking
Please note that The George bedrooms are non-smoking. Residents failing to adhere to this condition may incur a cleaning fee of £100. Smoking can be enjoyed on our heated terrace with live sports TV and views over town or at The Garden Bar.
Damages
If articles in the room are damaged including stains to any of the soft furnishings, carpets and rugs we reserve the right to charge the credit or debit card used to book your reservation with either the full cost of repairing/cleaning such item(s) or if this is not possible the replacement cost with new.
Parking
We are family friendly. Cots or sofa beds can be arranged in certain rooms at an additional charge.
Wifi
We have fast wifi throughout the hotel, this is free to our guests.
